 Name etymology
Named after the Musa genus, which contains bananas and plantains.
A pre-release advertisement in Comic Bom Bom showed his name to be "Chourou" (チョーロー), meaning elder.

This Denjuu is obtained from the secret phone number 05*-#492-634*1, and therefore cannot be nicknamed unless traded. He is always obtained at level 20, with a Carefree personality. Musa's home area is Toronko Village.
The phone number was originally revealed in the November 2000 issue of Comic Bom Bom. It was also printed in the first and last volumes of the Telefang manga, and can now be found on the official Telefang website.

 In the manga
In the first chapter of the Telefang 1 manga, Shigeki and Matsukiyo meet Musa after they arrive in Toronko Village. Loosely following the plot in the game, Musa asks Shigeki to wake Netaro, assigning a Punica to help him.
