In chapter 6, Hiyu appears in a meeting of the four elder Denjuu, along with [[Musa]], [[Kaya]], and [[Zea]].
In chapter 9, while trying to rescue an [[Oshe]], [[Shigeki]] and [[Crypto]] are overpowered by a large group of [[Spearneedle]] who take them to see Hiyu. They both fight against Hiyu but begin to be overwhelmed by his War Cannon attacks, until [[Netaro]] and [[Nejiro]] suddenly arrive to help fend one of the attacks off. This allows Crypto to get a surprise attack in and defeat the elder Denjuu.
Hiyu appears in a flashback in chapter 11 with the other three elders, all witness to Crypto's birth at the Life Tree.

Area

This Denjuu is obtained from the secret phone number 05*-074*-89#13, and therefore cannot be nicknamed unless traded. It is always obtained at level 20, with a Loyal personality. Hiyu's home area is Paparuna Lake.

The phone number was originally revealed in the December 2000 issue of Comic Bom Bom. It was also printed in the first and last volumes of the Telefang manga, and can now be found on the official Telefang website.
